Terms and Conditions for Registered Therapists

When you join Therapies United to become one of our registered therapists, you are required to read these terms and conditions. As a registered therapist you agree to comply with these terms.

You, the therapist, as part of your Therapies United membership agree:

  • to complete the online registration process in order to be considered for entry on the Therapies United Register.
  • to provide all information for inclusion in the Therapies United register at your own expense.
  • to keep your biography up to date whilst a member of Therapies United - any information which has expired will be removed from your profile automatically.
  • to provide evidence (if requested) of training or experience that entitles you to practise in specialist areas including cancer, pregnancy, infertility and children.
  • to ensure you have at all times professional liability insurance against malpractice and negligence for the practice of the therapies stated on your registration form and that this is maintained. Should your insurance expire your profile will be automatically suspended and no reimbursement on your membership will be given.
  • that you, the therapist, will provide services solely and exclusively of a professional nature only. Such services will be provided in accordance with the highest professional standards in every respect and to be provided by you, the therapist on your own account and not by or on behalf of or as an agent of or otherwise for Therapies United.
  • to maintain confidentiality in relation to any client who contacts you in connection with Partners or otherwise and adhere to the law as per the Data Protection Act 1998.
  • that you are an independent therapist and are in no way employed by Therapies United to provide your services.
  • to provide services to anyone who contacts you in connection with Partners or otherwise and be alone responsible for ensuring that the provision of services complies with all requirements of any laws or regulations from time to time in force of the requirements of any authority having jurisdiction and will take particular care to observe all regulations concerning treatment of members of the opposite sex.
  • that you are responsible for collecting any fees from clients.
  • to keep Therapies United informed of any changes to your private contact details and business contact details within 1 month of them changing.

Registration Fee Payment

You, the therapist, as part of your Therapies United membership agree:

  • to complete your payment of *£15 (non-refundable) as the joining/renewal fee for registration fee of Therapies United. This payment will only be requested if you can provide insurance documentation for the therapies you practice as indicated on your profile. On receipt of this payment your profile will be live on the website register within 72 hours. This joining fee entitles you to 12 months membership on the Therapies United register.
  • The joining/renewal fee covers the cost of your membership for 12 months for 2 therapies. Should you wish to add more therapies to your profile the charge is £5 per therapy.
  • Changes can be made to the profile (name change/profile/picture change) for £5. If the insurance or any other time sensitive information on the profile expires (eg professional membership) we will suspend the entry. To remove the suspension there is a £5 charge.
  • within 1 month of your membership expiry date, Therapies United will contact you by email asking you to confirm your continued membership and the renewal fee of £15. Should payment not be received by the renewal date your entry will be suspended. Within 1 week of the expiry date your entry will be deleted.
  • that should you, the therapist, wish to remove your details from the register prior to the renewal date, you will not receive a reimbursement of any advance payments or joining fees (if applicable). It will be you, the Therapist’s, responsibility to cancel any current standing orders and no reimbursement will be given for payments given in error.
  • *this fee applies to online registration and uploading of documents. If you choose to send documents by post the fee is £30.

If you are a student who has studied Reiki/Indian Head Massage with Feel Good Therapies you will receive free membership for 12 month on the Therapies United website (changes to profile/expired documents still apply).

Marketing of Therapists

You, the therapist, as part of your Therapies United membership agree:

  • to offer a 10% discount of all therapies you provide to anyone who contacts you in connection with Partners of Therapies United who are listed on the Therapies United website. Clients who are signposted to you through our Partners will be advised to mention their organisation and discount to you when booking a treatment in order to receive this discount. You agree to honour this discount for the first and all subsequent treatments they may receive.
  • In addition to the online register, our Partners will have access to your details.
  • We will promote any special offers/events you hold on our twitter/facebook accounts.
  • You will have the option for inclusion in our newsletter to suscribers of 1500 contacts - fee applicable.

Commercial Opportunities for Therapists

Promotion of your profile via Tasters/Workshops organised by Therapies United

  • As a registered therapist on Therapies United, you will have the option to take part in commercial opportunities.
  • To offer workshops in your chosen therapies, you must provide evidence of experience in the teaching of your therapies.
  • To offer tasters (15 minutes minimum) in your chosen therapies, you must provide evidence of experience of offering therapy tasters.
  • Entry on this listing is only available to therapists listed on the Therapies United main register.

Therapies United is the working title for the online register offered to corporate/public clients and clients of our Partners and their families/friends listed on the Therapies United website. It is managed by Feel Good Therapies Ltd.
